Video Conferencing and Digital Instruction Guidance and Support (updated 4/7)

Image of video conferencing guidance documentAs April 6 marks the beginning of Oklahoma schools relaunching under within the new Distance Learning requirements, many teachers are being asked to learn brand new technologies to engage and support their students. Through the Curriculum and Instruction virtual meetings大公鸡七星彩, we have heard many your needs and concerns, including that it would be useful to compile some straightforward guidance that will help you to learn more about how to leverage digital tools effectively and safely. 

We are happy to announce that we’ve made some progress in this effort and have a few resources to share. Please bookmark these resources as we will continue to update them as we find opportunities to improve them. 

Video Conferencing Guidance (download - updated 4/7)

OETA Educational Programming and Instructional Resources (updated 3/30)

The Oklahoma Educational Television Authority (OETA) is collaborating with the Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) to provide in-home learning opportunities for students. The goal is to bring parents, students and teachers together with content and curriculum to meet educational needs while schools are closed due to coronavirus.

Beginning Monday, March 30, OETA will be adjusting its daytime schedule to provide curriculum-based programming for students Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. which will last until the end of the school year​.​ 

大公鸡七星彩 Teachers and parents are encouraged to visit ​​ to view an updated program schedule, OETA’s statewide channel list, curriculum and activities. There is also more information about , which provides videos and interactives, as well as audio, documents, and in-depth lesson plans. It is free for students, teachers and parents, however users must sign up for an account.    

OETA and OSDE hosted a joint webinar on Monday, March 30, at 2:00 pm大公鸡七星彩 as a way for teachers to learn more about this opportunity. Teachers can view the webinar at ​​. The webinar provides an introduction to resources and lessons to help teachers learn how to leverage OETA programming available at ​ as they work to respond to their district distance learning plans. Teachers are also introduced to a virtual course available at that they can access anytime to gain further support and connect with other educators who are using OETA resources.

Ongoing Virtual Meetups for All Grade-Levels and Disciplines (updated 3/30)

Beginning the week of March 30, weekly virtual meetings will be made available to all grade-levels and disciplines. Participants will have an opportunity to gain resources and collaborate with other teachers around the state to plan for distance learning. While the platform limits participation to 300 people, we will record the meeting and share the recording through the Newsletter. Please join only 10 minutes prior to the start of the meeting to help us ensure we are able to have all speakers join the meeting.
